Software Engineer (Java, React, Next.js, AWS)

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to help support our dedicated, friendly, and growing Trading Team to deliver critical new functionality to our clients and internal users. We are looking for someone with that has a strong focus on backend development but can also turn their hand to frontend when required. We are open to experience with either Java or Typescript / Javascript, React, Next.js, AWS.

Majority of colleagues are working remotely, but there is possibility to work from office as well.

However, all work must be performed within Poland, and remote work from abroad is not available.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for writing high quality code adhering to agreed team and regulatory standards as well as review of others code
Working collaboratively with the team to help deliver significant new features for the business
Providing engineering support for existing applications when necessary
Ensuring existing and newly developed solutions are reliable, secure, performant and maintainable
Maintaining awareness of current secure coding practices and ensuring code produced is in line with these
Responsible for developing and evidencing automated tests alongside code produced
Responsible for documenting all solutions, produced to agreed team standards
Demonstrating a willingness to learn technologies & techniques embraced by the development team
Cultivate strong working relationships both within working squad and in HL as a whole
Actively participating in working groups and communities of practice designed to support the development team
Continually developing both technical and interpersonal skills

Requirements

Must have:

3+ years of solid commercial experience
Very good knowledge of Java or TypeScript/JavaScript
Working knowledge of Spring Framework or React, Node.js
Experience with AWS
Hands-on experience with design patterns, programming and testing best practices
Have a mindset of continuous improvement in everything you do
Comfortable working in a Scrum/Agile team
Developing secure & maintainable code
(Nice to have) Experience in working with docker, Kubernetes using microservices architecture
Proficiency in English (B2/C1) and Polish (at least B1)
